Minister for Food And Agriculture and former legislator representing the people of Kwadaso Hon Afriyie Akoto, has made some interesting comments about this current administrations flagship program, Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ).

Despite the numerous challenges the program is facing as the continues smuggling of the subsidized fertility meant for the program goes on. The minister has argued that many of the nice edifices putting up are as a result of Planting for Food and jobs.

Addressing Chiefs, Staff and Students of the Bolgatanga Senior high school, the minister said he went through the Bolgatanga township and was impressed.

I have been passing by and i hear big boss, big boss this my first time coming here and I’m very impressed I’m just making A few remarks and they go like this, this region is an agriculture region and More than 20% of adults are into agriculture, and what the president has brought to this region is agriculture.. Planting for food and Jobs. You may have heard of it but you may not know the details but it’s very clear to me coming from Bolga central to here, left and right you can see shining new roofs, you can see people molding blocks to build new houses, this is all a sign of progress PFJ has brought to this region

The minister is part of the president HIs excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo’s entourage in the Upper East for a two day official visit.
