Bolga: Sacred Heart Parish resorts to radio for Mass Service

The Sacred Heart Parish in Bolgatanga has announced that Mass service beginning Sunday 22nd March 2020 will be aired on Ura Radio of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation(GBC) until the ban is lifted.

This they said was in response to the President’s directive banning all social gatherings including church services for a period of time. The directive primarily was to prevent the further spread and contain the Novel COVID-19.

In a statement signed by PPC chairman Amenga-Etego Felix Frederick, he encouraged all parishioners to tune in between 8 am to 9 am for spiritual communion. He assures that the mass sermon will be presided over by the Bishop.

Statement from the Sacred Heart parish

Ghana so far have confirmed 21 cases of COVID-19 with 1 death.

The president in a nationwide address directed all land, sea, and air borders are closed to human traffic effective midnight Sunday 22nd, March 2020.

This he said is an enhanced measure the country is taking to contain the virus.
