Twenty(20) people have defeated the deadly coronavirus in the Upper East region leaving only six(6) people currently on admission at the treatment center in Bolgatanga.
The region recorded it’s first case on the 3rd of April 2020. A 30-year-old pregnant woman was confirmed with Covid-19.
Since then, 25 more people got infected which included a medical doctor and nurses.
Luckily, the pregnant lady recovered as well as the doctor who have all been discharged.
The Upper East coordination council (RCC) have announced the recovery of more patients at the treatment center.
According to them, 20 more people have recovered leaving 6 who are still battling the virus.
The Upper East regional minister Tangoba Abayage urged citizens to welcome the recovered back to society as they are part of it and put an end to stigmatization.

They’re part of us and need love; not stigma!” She wrote.
Meanwhile, the number of confirmed case in the country has hit 6,486 people whereas 1,951 have recovered. 31 persons have died.
