Successful show in northern Ghana and we say big ups to the organizers for creating a platform for our acts here to sell themselves.
However it’s with sad sentiments I write on the impact of showbiz in northern Ghana in reference to income as a career option.

Before moving from Accra to host a major event am sure a detailed market assessment along with the PR angles and economic benefits to their brand. The artists to perform were not just selected but with specific focus and targets in mind. In the end every move and action were carefully constructed to give the success that it received. This proved beyond doubt that the organizers understand the language of showbiz and it’s benefit to their brand.

A look at the acts in northern Ghana and we can’t say the same for ourselves.
We have often reached out to markets we believed are bigger neglecting the impact of building a staunch local market not just in fan base but in economic gain as well.
When a new artist is introduced into the showbiz scene in the south every act seeks to build a relationship in one way or the other so they rob off each other in terms of value.

However we can’t say the same for our local acts. How many artist have done colabos with other artists in other regions and even if done how much effort goes into promoting it?
We forget that the very acts we look down upon among ourselves are a reminder of where we used to be and just as opportunities are given to each other in the south the same should go for us here.
The gold in showbiz in the desert is still not seen by the deserters as such it would always be a reward for the discoverer and stranger.
Day by day opportunities come and go but we consciously forget that evolution isn’t just human but has now become a way of life and a need to adapt is essential to our survival.

Fancy Gadam finally broke from his haven to wonder and guess what he got more than he expected proving to him that change and growth are simultaneous in the success story.
We don’t even share our stories with each other and information has become such a scarce commodity yet it’s the most important commodity if value in trade.

Hope we would see growth in all these and work towards a formidable showbiz industry..
What if we had an annual event dubbed
Pentagon concert with a theme a taste of desert strings😅😅😅😅 just kidding with the title where we have a music festival that celebrates acts from all five regions and tell the world we also have something.
I guess it would be a dream that might be fulfilled oneday.
Shake brrr shake brrrr my ink is running out so I rest my case🖋🖋🖋
