Ben Dotse Malor who is the chief editor at UN news dailies has asked for protests in solidarity with the death of African American George Floyd in Minneapolis.
He believes many African Americans returned to Ghana when the nation announced”the year of return” crusade in 2019.
Therefore, there should be protests in the nation’s capital Accra in solidarity with the death of George Floyd.
“I CAN’T BREATHE: Many African-Americans were in Ghana for the Year of Return – why is there no protest (of solidarity) in Accra?”- he questioned.
There have been protests in some states of America over the death of 46-year-old George Floyd. The unarmed African American was knelt down on the neck by a white police officer Derek Chauvin. He died after nine minutes.
His death generated protests and social media campaigns about racial discrimination and injustice.
