Coming from a prosperous album listening session of his unprecedented thirty five(35) songs of which seventeen(17) pruned tracks to make up the “Bolga Be My Own” album, Wahidu Firdaus known prominently as Showbowy has once again reiterated his huge influence in the Upper East music industry.
The Bondee Entertainment artist together with his management team organised an album listening session for the media prior to the official album launch on the 18th April, 2020.
The date however, will be possibly reviewed due to the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 pandemic.
Known for his controversial utterances, he is compared with dancehall great Shatta Wale. Very energetic and vicious.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook live interaction with his fans, the “Juju” hit maker claimed ” he is the only one who revived the music industry industry the Upper East region if records are checked”
He also asserted how” event organizers call to thank him after events for giving them the huge numbers which basically gives them the dividends of their investments”.
Showbwoy further acknowledged the progress of the industry but urged particularly event organizers to” demonstrate some respect to the A listed artists by paying them well for their services”.
He revealed that some pay as low as Ghc300 from a budget of Ghc1,000. A fad he is vehemently fighting against.
Assurance was given thereafter to all event organizers who bill him to perform on their events. He said he is the only one who gets them their returns.
