The last time a major musical concert took place in the Upper East Region was Batakari show headlined by Kologo Musician King Ayisoba. Bolgatanga – Not known for attending shows organized by Home artistes except those who have made it to the top such as King Ayisoba, Okomfour Kwadee and Atongo Zimba, it  somewhat came as a surprise when multitudes of people turned up in their numbers to fill up the over 2000 capacity kofi Charlie Floor of the Catering rest house in Bolgatanga.

Soorebia has defied all myths and broken all the boundaries set the pace as the only Rapper from the region to rap in his local Frafra dialect and to break out of the region as a rapper based in Upper East. He has successfully captured the hearts of many in the region and the entire Country as a whole by making rap in his dialect pleasant to people who do not understand nor speak Frafra.

In september 2015 when he released his Hit single Primus and was adjudged by Livefm’s ROUTE919 listeners as the Hip Hop song of the week, he realized that he has gotten to a point that he was ready to take Ghana and Africa as a rapper. It therefore came as no surprise when Wanlov the Kubolor featured him on his anti-curruption song titled Ye daadaa mu together with Rapper Strongman. He went on to join King Ayisoba and Stevo Atambire at the Batakari Festival where music lovers at the event tipped him as the next big thing.

His first musical concert – Kiimakina Concert was not only a platform for Soorebia to prove to his people and fans that he is not just a studio artiste but a show man, the show also presented the biggest platform for musicians in Bolgatanga to show their craft.

Kiimakina Concert brought five major artistes from Tamale – SKY da Tamale Boy, Double Tee, One9ra, Nandos and 3nity. These artistes came with so much energy and were met with impatient Artistes from bolga – TMD, Don Max, Saruata, Fasetwo, Rockcity,  B-Wayne and Number One  who were very anxious to prove to their Tamale counterparts and their fans in Bolga the stuff that they are made of. Also gracing the occasion was the sexy songstress – Ayillah who joined Soorebia on stage to perform several colabos.

All-in-all, Soorebia’s Kiimakinna Concert was successful show and a major step taken to boost music and entertainment in the Region.
