U/W REGIONAL MINISTER DONATES TO OPINION LEADERS AND YOUTH GROUPS IN THE REGION.

In our holly books,it is stated emphatically that”sharing is caring” and people share not because they are wealthier but because they understand what it mean to lack.
It is equally loud and clear that people receive gifts,donations and hampers this festive season not because they lack, but to strengthen the unity,sense of belonginess and religious coexistence within them as a people.
A team led by Mr.Cletus Awuni Public Relations Officer(PRO)of the regional coordinating council and Mohammed Musah Bipuah(a government communication team member)
This afternoon on behalf of the upper west regional minister donated one thousand(1000) carten of soft drinks in diffrent flavours to opinion leaders and some youth groups/camps in the region.
The team visited the Bishop of Wa at St Francis Xavier (Most Rev Richard Bawobr,the overlord of Wala traditional area Naa Fuseini Pelpuo (IV),the regional chief Imam(Alhaji Osman Kanihi,the President of the local council of churches,the Ahmadiya Mission,the Ahli Sunnah Wal jamaa,political parties youth secretariats and offices including youth groups/camps within the municipality.

“on behalf of the upper West regional minister Dr.Hafiz Bin-Salih.Ever since he took over office as a regional minister he has always championed religious cohesion and I think this is a festive season and he wants to strengthen the peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians, he equally believes in the birth of Christ and this is a special period where we have to share and he has sent us to present this items to the Catholic church on his behalf so if you see us here that is the main reason why we are at your door this morning”said Cletus Awuni.

Rev Father Benjamin Feritie Chancellor of the secretariat received the items on behalf of the Bishop .He said “the gesture of the regional minister together with the council is very much appreciated, indeed sharing is a very wonderful experience, when we share we have everything,when we are keeping things to ourselves we just remain individuals, so this wonderful gesture is truely well received and Bishop is going to make sure it reaches all the diocese which comprises of twenty six parishes and about six institutions”

The same way the head of local council of churches with their executives received the team.They thank the regional minister for the kind gesture. The head pastor added that next year is an election year and he pray that we have a peaceful elections and peaceful accept whoever the almighty will choose for us, he said he once again appreciate the kind gesture.

The team continued their rounds to the overlord of waala traditional area,the regional chief Imam,Ahmadiya mission, Alih Sunnah wal Jamaa,various radio stations then to the Wa central NDC and NPP youth secretariats and finally NPP regional office at Jengbeyiri.

The NDC wa central youth Organiser Abdulai Ibrahim together with his second deputy Hanif Boby received and thanked the regional minister on behalf of the youth wing.
They said they have trust in the regional minister and added that they always wish he one day get to cabinet ministerial position from now till next year December.

The team then started with none partisan groups until they emptied a kia Rhino fully loaded with various radio stations.
