President Akuffo Addo will be in the Upper East region on Friday 29th November to officially cut sod for the construction of the affordable housing projects.
This is the first kind of such project to hit the Upper East region as governments through the State Housing Company have contructed such projects across Ghana in a bid to curb the housing deficits.
The Upper East regional minister Tangoba Abayage made this revelation on her official Facebook page congratulating the president for such steps taken for the People of the Upper East region.
The region in general until recently boast of traditional mud houses which provides shelter for all. Most people considered the elite have new mansions springing up at most less developed places.
It is quite unclear where the housing project will be situated but the capital Bolgatanga is likely to be the site destination. The project will be called the Rock Estates depicting the rocky nature of the the region’s geographics.
The president will on the same day visit the site of the pwalugu multipurpose dam in the Talensi district.
